I visited the Illinois Institute of Rural Affairs Conference last week to give a talk on using makerspaces to revitalize rural areas. The talk focuses on what the values of a community makerspace should be, and the strategies and tactics that we can use to spread those values. As a sidenote, this is an approach I learned from watching an XOXO talk by the game designer Max Temkin. Check his talk out if you have a few minutes.
